They were divided into an experimental group and a control group according to the random number table method, with 45 students in each group. The control group adopted the traditional internship teaching model, while the experimental group adopted the SPOC combined with the \"Read-Think-Research-Practice\" teaching model. After the internship, the assessment scores at the end of the course, the self-assessment scores of critical thinking ability and research ability of the two groups were compared, and the teaching satisfaction of the experimental group was investigated.</p> </sec><sec> <p><strong>Results</strong></p> <p>After the training, the theoretical assessment scores, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) skill assessment scores, and total scores of students in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were all statistically significant (<italic>t</italic>=6.02, 6.54, 7.15, <italic>P</italic><0.05). The scores on the critical thinking disposition inventory-Chinese version (CTDI-CV) and self-assessed scientific research ability scores in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were all statistically significant (<italic>t</italic>=6.37, 7.55, <italic>P</italic><0.05).
